Life is Beautiful

"Promise me something, college boy."

Ryan smiled. "What is it, B?"

"Promise me that you're not going to run off with the first hot piece of college boy ass that you come across, okay?"

He laughed. "So the second and third are okay?"

Brendon glared at him. "Asshole, no, they're not okay. Don't run off with anyone."

"B, you're forgetting something. I don't run. I'm not pretty when I run," Ryan joked.

"You're never pretty," Brendon pouted.

"Well, that's true."

"Don't though. Seriously, Ryan. College boys are hot and they put out and they're probably hotter than me."

"Oh, B. Of course they're hotter than you."

Brendon pouted.

Ryan laughed. "I'm kidding."

"You better be."

"I am. You know you're the best butt buddy that I could ever have," Ryan said honestly. "I wouldn't do that to you."

"I know we're not exclusive or anything. But, well, yeah," he rambled.

Ryan leaned in to kiss him. "I know. Seriously, B, don't worry about it."

"I'm not."

"Are," he corrected. "But don't," he repeated. "I'm not going to fall for some college boy."

"I know. I just. Don't want to be with anyone but me," he pouted. "I know I'm not your boyfriend and it's all sex and stuff but still."

Ryan nodded. "I know, I know, I won't."

"But you're in college."

"Yes."

"And I'm still in high school."

"Yes."

"College boys are better than lame high school boys," he sighed.

"Maybe they sometimes are. But, B, you know I'm not that guy. And besides. You're better than college boys."

Brendon smiled. "Yeah."

"Yeah," Ryan agreed, nodding, kissing his forehead.

****

When Ryan started his first day of his college life, he had never felt more nervous. His My Chemical Romance shirt was nearly soaked with sweat as his hands were shaking as he walked towards his first class. His palms were damp, the same as the strap to his messenger bag that he was holding with a white-knuckle death grip.

His hand reached up nervously to push his hair out of his eyes as he walked into his first building. He nearly tripped over his own feet while walking up the stairs to his floor. He glanced in the class, surprised to find it empty, and he checked his watch again.

"Right on time," he muttered to himself, taking a seat in the back, immensely excited, albeit nervous, for his first class. He pulled out his beaten up composition notebook; even though he was in college, he couldn't bring himself to stop writing in a journal. Not that he would want to; he liked being able to keep track of his thoughts and feelings. It was a few minutes into his writing when he heard the door hit the wall. His head snapped up to see who, or what, it was, and instantly looked away when he caught someone's eye.

"Hi," the guy said awkwardly.

Ryan looked up again, smiling slightly. "Hi."

"I'm just," he motioned towards the cart behind him. "Hooking this up for Professor Woodsen. He doesn't know anything about technology," he laughed. "So yeah, you can go back to your writing and I'll just hurry up so you don't have to listen to me ramble anymore."

Ryan laughed. "It's okay."

The guy smiled, leaning over to pick up one of the cables. Ryan caught himself staring at him and looked away quickly. The guy stood back up and glanced over at him. "Freshman?"

He nodded. "Is it obvious?"

"A little bit. I'm William."

"Ryan."

"Nice to meet you," he smiled again, hooking up a few more cables, and he moved the projector in front of the screen. "Well, I'm done here. I'll see you around sometime," he said, nodding in his direction, before walking out of the room.

Ryan sucked in a deep breath, grabbing his notebook to fan his face, and he laughed. "I'm definitely going to like college."

****

"This is so goddamn annoying."

"What is, baby?" Brendon asked, kissing the side of Ryan's neck.

"This paper. I have to write a goddamn five page paper for Friday. I have to find time to head over to the library and find information about cannibalism in Jamestown," he sighed. "I'll have to find time in between classes."

Brendon pouted, running his hands over Ryan's chest, moving his lips up to his ear. "You'll find time, baby."

"I might have to miss one of our after-class sex sessions."

Brendon stopped, sitting back. "Hell no."

"I might!"

"Then make it up to me," he pouted.

"I will," he reassured him. "I promise I will. Just after I read this."

"Or now?"

"Jeeze, why are you so damn horny today?" Ryan asked, looking over his shoulder.

Brendon smiled. "I missed you. And. My parents are gone and you look incredible. Now fuck me."

Ryan, obviously, had no choice.

So he did.

****

Ryan sighed, zipping up his bag and handing his paper to his professor. He pulled out his cell phone to check the time and found he had forty minutes until his next class. He was glad his professor let them out early and he ran down the stairs, racing across campus to get to the library; he needed as much time as possible to work on his paper with their resources. He sighed, taking in a deep breath and opened the door, walking over to the desk and waiting until the person at the desk turned around.

His breath caught in his throat.

William smiled. "Hey, freshman!"

Ryan blushed. "Hi."

"What can I do ya for?" he asked, setting a book to the side.

"Um. I have this paper to do and I need some information," Ryan stumbled.

"What's the paper on?"

"Cannibalism in Jamestown," he sighed. "I've tried looking online for information and I can't find shit. I mean, I found one sight but it was pathetic. So. Is there anything here that can help me own the paper?" he smiled hopefully.

William nodded. "Definitely. I wrote a paper on that my freshman year so I know all the good books."

"Thank you so much," Ryan smiled bigger.

"Follow me, freshman," William laughed, leading him to the second row of books and a few shelves in. He leaned up on his toes, grabbing a red spine book from the top shelf. Ryan's eyes wandered down to his waist, catching a glimpse of his hipbones and he felt himself flush and he cleared his throat, looking away quickly. "Ah, here we go. It's all about Jamestown. If you look in the Appendix, you'll find it in no time," he said, handing it to him and smiling.

"Thank you so much. You saved my paper and my self-confidence," he said.

"I'm sure you have no lack of self-confidence but I'm glad to have helped you with your paper. Want me to check it out for you?"

He shook his head. "No, thanks. I'm going to be one of those annoying students who just demands you to find the book then uses it in here and I'll make sure to leave it on the table so you have to put it back up," he joked.

William laughed. "It's fine. Just make sure you hand it to me when you're finished and I'll put it up."

"Thank you, again, really," Ryan said, nodding.

It's no problem."

Ryan stood there for a minute, still nodding, before he realized he looked like an idiot and he pointed towards the study stations. "I'll just. Go over there now," he said awkwardly before walking over to one and sitting down. He set his back pack down on the floor and pulled out his notebook. He flipped open the book and tried to concentrate on his paper, but he found himself looking over at the desk where William was. William was leaning back against the desk, a book in his hands, a pen between his teeth, and Ryan made himself look away once more. "Study, Ryan, you idiot," he told himself. "You have to get home to see Brendon. Work." He paused. "Brendon. Shit."

****

"You're late," Brendon pouted, shutting the door to his bedroom behind Ryan.

"I know, I know," Ryan said. "I got here as fast as I could. I told you I had to do research."

"Brendon before research," he said.

Ryan rolled his eyes. "At least I'm here. I could've just gone home."

Brendon pouted. "You would not."

"I could've, and I might leave early if you keep being a douche," he threatened, setting his bag down and sitting on Brendon's bed.

"What the hell is wrong with you?" Brendon asked, leaning against the door.

"You're getting pissed at me because I'm thirty minutes late when I really wanted to go home. I'm really tired, Brendon, and all you care about is whether or not I'm here to get you off," Ryan ranted. "It's really fucking annoying sometimes."

"Fine," Brendon opened his door. "Leave if you're in that pissy of a mood."

"Don't be so immature, B," Ryan rolled his eyes. "You know I want to be here. But I want to be here less when you're being a bitch."

Brendon scoffed. "I am not being immature or a bitch."

"You're being both."

"Whatever."

"You're doing it again."

Brendon sighed. "Fine. I'm sorry. Whatever."

Ryan shook his head, opening his bag to put his hoodie in there, and he paused. "Shit."

"What?"

"I forgot to give the book back to William," he sighed. "Goddammit. I'm so stupid."

"Who's William?"

"The librarian worker dude on campus," Ryan answered, feeling his cheeks flush slightly.

"Uh-huh. And why are you blushing? Is he hot?"

He rolled his eyes, feigning annoyance. "Seriously, B."

"So he is?"

Ryan sighed. "Yes, he is. Happy now?"

"Hotter than me?"

"Jesus H, Brendon! Can you ever leave a damn thing alone?"

"Apparently not. Who is he??"

"He's the librarian dude," he repeated.

Brendon walked over to him, pushing him back onto the bed and straddling him. He kissed the side of Ryan's neck. "Is he hot?" he asked, his voice dropping a few octaves.

"B-- Stop. You're just going to get mad at me," Ryan whined slightly, trying to push Brendon off but he failed.

Brendon pushed their bodies together, grinding slightly. "Is he?"

Ryan sighed, subconsciously bucking up against him. "B--"

"What does he look like, Ryan? Tell me," he said, slipping his hand between their bodies and under Ryan's jeans to grab him.

"He--" He bucked up again. "He's got dark hair," he started, a sigh slipping past his lips. "It's curly and it looks really nice."

"Yeah?" Brendon asked, changing his pace.

"Mhmm," Ryan said. "With these really dark eyes and these hips that just-- Jesus--"

Brendon smiled, tightening his grip. "His hips?"

"His hips-- Jesus, Brendon, faster," he said.

"His hips?" Brendon repeated, stopping his hand.

"Are made of fucking orgasm," Ryan said breathlessly. "Brendon, please, just--"

Brendon moved his hand again, quickening his pace, and quickly finished Ryan off, who came with a sigh of 'William' and Brendon jerked his hand away, wiping it off on his pants. He stood up, turning his back towards Ryan, and he walked over to his computer chair, sitting down.

Ryan sat up slowly, running a hand over his forehead and through his hair. He leaned over to Brendon's nightstand, picking up a tissue and wiping off his lower stomach. "What? You're mad at me now?"

Brendon crossed his arms, looking at his feet. "No."

"Or yes. What the hell did I do now?"

"You said his name," Brendon frowned.

"What?"

"You said 'William' instead of my name," he said.

Ryan sighed. "Brendon-- I was-- You're the one who made me talk about him, Brendon! I couldn't stop it!"

"Uh-huh."

"You know what? Fuck you, Brendon," Ryan groaned, picking up his back pack. "I'm not going to be here if you're just going to be a selfish bitch. You made me talk about him and you were the one who was touching me. So if you're going to get pissed, then I'm out, whatever," he said. "Call me when you act your age," he finished, storming out.

****

Ryan woke up the next morning and checked his cell phone instantly, sighing when he saw Brendon hadn't called. He wasn't sure if he should be annoyed or relieved. He got up and got ready for his day, grabbing his car keys, back pack, and cell phone and headed out to his car. He took the short way to campus and he got a good parking spot. He grabbed all of his stuff before making his way to the library. He looked around when he stepped in, trying to find William, sighing when he didn't see him. He walked over to the desk and the man standing there looked up; his name tag read Bill.

"Yes?"

"Um, I made a mistake," Ryan laughed slightly. "I was using this book yesterday when I got a call about a family emergency," he lied, "I must've rushed out with it, completely forgetting to hand it back to the guy or check it out. I'm terribly sorry. So I'm returning it now," he said, setting the book on the desk and sliding it over to him.

The man rolled his eyes. "It's all right. Don't worry about it."

Ryan smiled. "Thank you, sir. Have a nice day," he said, turning around and walking out of the building. He made his way over to the Quad and sat down on one of the benches, looking around. He still had thirty minutes until his first class, and he pulled a book out of his bag to pass the time. A few minutes into it, he felt someone sit down next to him.

"Wasting your free time reading, freshman?"

Ryan shut the book, looking over at William. "It's not a waste of time. I actually enjoy reading."

William laughed. "Freshman got jokes."

"I do enjoy it!"

"Okay, okay," William said. "I have a question for you."

"Okay...?"

"Why did you run off with that book yesterday?"

Ryan flushed. "I totally forgot I had it. I got a text from someone in my family and there was an emergency so I had to...run. And I forgot to give it to you before I left."

William scoffed. "A likely story."

Ryan gasped. "It's the truth!"

William laughed. "I know it is, freshman. I'm just messin with you, chill out," he said, nudging their shoulders together.

"Oh," Ryan blushed a bit. "Sorry. I just--"

"No need to explain," he said. "So you got the book back?"

"To Bill, yes."

William laughed. "Oh, Bill. I hate that guy," he said, still laughing.

Ryan felt himself smile. "You laugh when you think of someone you hate?"

"Dude, he almost fired me last year."

"Why?"

"Because he caught me making out with my boyfriend in the back. I wasn't even on the clock," he laughed.

"So. How could he fire you if you weren't even on the clock?"

William shrugged. "He's Bill. He hates the gays."

"I don't like people who hate the gays."

"Me neither, obviously."

Ryan smiled. "Yeah, well, I know what you mean."

"Gay?"

He nodded.

"Boyfriend?"

He shrugged. "Kind of."

"Kind of?"

"Well," Ryan scratched the back of his neck. "He's not my boyfriend. We just..."

"Benefits?"

"Yeah. But. We don't see other people," Ryan shook his head. "He's really an asshole sometimes. Self-centered."

William nodded. "Good in bed?"

Ryan flushed, shrugging.

"Only guy you've been with?"

"That's a little personal."

"I'm a personal guy," William said.

Ryan sighed, shrugging again. "He's just. I don't know. I walked out on him last night and he hasn't even bothered to call to apologize."

"I'm sorry," he said quietly.

"Don't be. Are you and your boyfriend still together?"

"Yup. Two years. It's pretty great."

Ryan smiled. "Lucky."

"Yeah," William said. "Well, hey, I gotta go. My shift starts soon. Come see me when your class is done, I'll be working until eight," he smiled.

"All right, sure."

"Good to see you again, freshman," he said, leaning in to kiss him quickly, before standing up and walking away.

****

Ryan had just finished his psychology notes when the doorbell rang. His mother called up the stairs that a friend was there for him. He shut his book and smoothed out his jeans, before walking down the stairs to the door, rolling his eyes when he saw Brendon standing there casually.

"Yeah?"

"Aren't you going to invite me in?" he asked, his voice low.

"No," Ryan said, stepping outside and shutting the door behind him. "What do you want?"

"I wanted to talk to you."

"Talk or fuck?" he asked coldly.

"Both would be nice," he smiled.

"Too bad. Talk. And make it quick; I'm in the middle of something."

Brendon frowned. "I was going to say I was sorry until you started being a douche."

"I can be a douche if you're being an asshole," Ryan said.

Brendon rolled his eyes. "I shouldn't even be apologizing-- I didn't do shit wrong."

"Except you did."

"I didn't! You're the one who said some other guy's name while I was jerking you off!"

"You were the one making me talk about him! I didn't want to because I knew it would cause a fight!"

"It's like you're cheating on me!"

"We aren't even together!" Ryan yelled. "You're not my boyfriend-- You said it yourself."

Brendon sighed.

"This is why I don't feel bad for kissing another guy," Ryan said smoothly. "Because you're gonna get mad over every little goddamn thing that doesn't go your way. You get pissed when I don't rush over right after you call--"

"I do not!"

"You do!" Ryan said, laughing even though it wasn't funny. "You expect me to bend over backwards for you, jump through hoops and, when I don't, you get mad. And I might've played along for a while, but not anymore," he said. "I'm done with you being a diva. You're the one who said 'no strings attached' in the first place. I've nothing holding me to you," he said.

Brendon bit his lip. "You're just mad. You don't mean that."

"Whatever, Brendon. Were you not listening?"

"No," he said. "I'm going to go. Call me when you've calmed down and want to fuck," he said, winking at Ryan and walking away.

"Damn boy never listens and never fucking understands," Ryan groaned, walking back inside and slamming the door.

****

A few days later, Ryan walked into the library, finding his way back to one of the study stations in the back. He liked working all the way in the back because it was quieter, more private. He pulled out his laptop, turning his music on quietly. He pulled out his psych book, preparing to read over the chapters for his test the next day. He felt his cell phone vibrating in his pocket and he pulled it out.

"What, Brendon?" he snapped.

"Bitchy doesn't work for you, Ryan."

"And neither does diva for you."

"Cute."

"What do you want, Brendon? I'm busy."

"Busy blowing that William fag?"

"Actually, yes," Ryan said, smiling to himself.

"Come over."

"Do you not remember our argument almost a week ago?"

"I said I was sorry."

"Um, no, you didn't," he said. "You walked off."

"Whatever; I'm sorry. Now come over."

Ryan rolled his eyes. "No," he snapped, closing his phone and tossing it into his bag, sighing.

"You know, you're not supposed to talk on your phone in the library. It might distract someone."

Ryan looked up, feeling himself smile almost instantly. "Sneaking up on people and eavesdropping might distract them, too."

William grinned. "Ah, but I didn't sneak up on you, dear freshman. I was simply doing my job back here," he said, running a hand through his hair.

Ryan gave William a once over. "I didn't know being a librarian was so...sweaty."

"Well, there are a lot of things you don't know, freshman," he smiled. "Get back to work while I do the same, cutie."

Ryan flushed. "Okay," he said quietly.

He grinned. "Have fun."

"You...too," he said lamely, looking back to his book.

William turned back and walked to his row, smiling at Travis, who was still leaning against the bookcases, fingers wrapped around his erection. "Doing a job is more like it," William corrected, grinning and winking at his boyfriend.

Travis laughed. "Yes; now get back to work."

William rose an eyebrow, hands on his hips.

"Please?" Travis added.

"My pleasure."

[x] Another new story. Who's sick of me? Haha. CAMDTL will be updated in a few days, probably next weekend. I have fall break next weekend so I'll try to get caught up on my writing. Um, okay. So. I have an incredibly lovely Nikki Sixx banner that I want to put on my new private lj, so if anyone can code layouts and wants to do that for me, that'd be great. [Ha. The header is sooooo rad. I love it tons.] But really, I need someone to do that for me. Anyway! Thank you for reading. The next part will be up soon. [And I apologize for my lack of updating as of late-- School. Busy and all.] <3

Amazing as always! Hey that spells AAA! Sweet, you're a recovering alcoholic now! Just kidding, my mind goes on strange tangents. XD

I can't wait for more. Treckett is amazing, like ferserious. William + Hipbones + Travis + Ryan = orgasm. No it's better. It's multiple orgasms definitely.

Love, Love, Love, can't wait for more!
And again your welcome for the Nikki Sixx banner, I'm thinking about using my LJ as a thing for custom headers since I don't write in it (no one would read it anyways ha). Good idea? Yes, no, maybe so?
